As part of our ongoing celebration for Month of the Military Child, our school came together to march a mile in honor of students from military families.

Congratulations to Multiple Disabilities Teacher Ashley Elizabeth Schweizer on her recognition as the FCPS 2023 Region 2 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at George Mason University Center for the Arts on June 14th.

Congratulations to Ms. Schweizer for being recognized as the outstanding New Teacher of the Year for Region 2! This honor is well-deserved. Ms. Schweizer's hard work and dedication is evident to all who know her, and we are thrilled that she has received this special distinction.

The North Springfield ES community came together this week to celebrate and recognize our nation's veterans in honor of Veteran's Day.

This special North Springfield tradition has been going strong for over thirty years! The Top Ten runners from across the school hit the track for our mile race as NSES students and families lined the track to cheer them on. Congratulations to all of our Top Ten runners!

NSES students of all ages embraced the Inclusion Week theme of "Rebuilding our Inclusive Community Together" in our school celebration. Each class worked together to build a chain, and then went outside to connect with other classes celebrating our connectedness as a school community.
