I am Yvonne Wynn. I have been a Family Liaison for about 4 years now. I work primarily with the Vietnamese families at North Springfield ES.

What do family liaisons do?
Our family liaisons provide resources, support and strategies to enhance both staff and parental understanding of the needs of military children. Additionally, they work to encourage parent involvement in their child's education.
The family liaisons may assist with parent conferences and with issues relating to school adjustment. They represent a variety of cultures, languages, and races and are one component in our school's effort to enhance family involvement. Above all, they are the link between families and school and are eager to partner with families to promote student success.
